We are equipped with both high definition drones and cameras attached to poles. Drones are quite tightly regulated and software on the drone can actually stop it being flown in certain areas so they are not always suitable for inspections. Where they are suitable they allow for greater flexibility in that they can often go where a camera and pole cannot. Drones are not regulated inside a building as inside is not controlled air space. Where we cannot use a drone, maybe due to the fact that the building is in a built up area with a lot of people about or it is close to an airport, then we can use a pole with camera attached. This solution is not as flexible and is restricted to about 30ft but for gutters and roofs up to two stories.
Both the drone photography and pole and camera need two people of which one can be the client.
